SEC Names Cutler Top Cop
October 25, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Securities
and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Stephen Cutler as
Enforcement Director.

Cutler replaces Richard Walker who is now general counsel for Deutsche Bank’s corporate investment bank.
Following Walker’s departure, Cutler, then deputy director of the enforcement division, was named acting director.
Prior to joining the SEC in 1999, Cutler was a partner with law firm Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, where he specialized in securities enforcement and litigation, as well as broker-dealer regulation and compliance.
He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and holds a law degree from Yale Law School.
