Survey Predicts Pay Increase for Sales

June 2, 2011(PLANSPONSOR.com) - According to a recent survey conducted by the Alexander Group, most companies plan to grant a base pay raise of between 3 and 4% for their sales force in 2011.

The study also found an increase in incentive payments in 2011 as compared to 2010. Nearly 61% reported a rise in incentive payments for 2011; 25% will see growth of 1% – 4%, and another 26% can expect an increase of 5% – 9%.

“The ‘freeze’ on base salary increases looks over,” reported David Cichelli, survey editor and senior vice president of the Alexander Group, in a press release. “Incentive compensation payments are returning to their pre-recession progress.”
