The study also found an increase in incentive payments in 2011 as compared to 2010. Nearly 61% reported a rise in incentive payments for 2011; 25% will see growth of 1% – 4%, and another 26% can expect an increase of 5% – 9%.
“The ‘freeze’ on base salary increases looks over,” reported David Cichelli, survey editor and senior vice president of the Alexander Group, in a press release. “Incentive compensation payments are returning to their pre-recession progress.”
More than 105 sales leaders provided their sales force expectations for 2011 as reported after the close of the first quarter in the recent 2011—1st Quarter Sales Update Survey.
