Methodology
For our fifth annual Participant Survey, PLANSPONSOR partnered with online market research firm Research Now. The online questionnaire was completed between August 3 and 10 by 1,070 U.S.-based employees, ages 23 and older. The resulting sample includes a mix of individuals with and without access to a defined contribution (DC) plan and was balanced to capture meaningful totals across key demographic attributes—i.e., gender, income, education, etc. The margin of error of the aggregate results is estimated to be +/– 3%.
