DC Plan Benchmarking Survey
By studying trends in DC plan design and usage, sponsors can benchmark and improve their own plans.
Methodology
The 2022 PLANSPONSOR Defined Contribution Survey was conducted from August through October using the Qualtrics survey platform. Plan sponsors were asked to report specifics about their DC plan/s, such as plan design features, monitoring and governance, investment lineup/s, and loan and withdrawal policies. The data represent more than 50 industries from approximately 2,830 respondents, who provided insight into their employer-match contributions, matching structure, plan eligibility and vesting schedule/s. Additionally, we segmented data by respondent profile to further magnify differences in asset range, industry and offerings across plan types and sizes. Our findings report on data points that will be further explored in our 2023 Plan Benchmarking and Industry Reports.
