Thiele to Chair American Benefits Council’s Policy Board of Directors

The employer advocacy and policy group has selected Microsoft VP Fred Thiele to replace Tracy Watts as the policy board’s chair.

The American Benefits Council announced today that Fred Thiele, the vice president of global benefits and mobility at Microsoft Corp., will be the new chair of the ABC’s Policy Board of Directors for the 2023-24 term. He will replace Tracy Watts, a senior partner and national leader for U.S. Health Policy at Mercer. Watts will remain on the board.

The other four leadership members of the board are vice chairs Kelly Lappin of Raytheon Technologies and Peter Baxter of National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, treasurer Jordan Backman of AMC Networks and secretary Jane Davila of Bristol-Myers Squibb.
