Rod Serling holds the record for most wins for this category at six.

 

In 1960 and 1961, the Emmy was won for various episodes of “The Twilight Zone.” But, he also won for writing various episodes for other shows, including:

Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre (1963): For episode “It’s Mental Work”.

Playhouse 90 (1956): For episode “The Comedian (#1.20)”.

Playhouse 90 (1956): For episode “Requiem for a Heavyweight”.

Kraft Television Theatre (1947): For episode “Patterns”.
