Weiss Acquires Arbitrage Fund Group

November 6, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Weiss, Peck & Greer, LLC will acquire arbitrage firm Ericott Group, LLC.

Effective January 1, 2003 Weiss will merge Ericott’s domestic and offshore funds, with its current domestic and offshore funds.   The merged funds will be renamed WPG Ericott Merger Arbitrage Fund, LP and WPG Ericott Merger Arbitrage Overseas Fund, Ltd.

The merger also reunites Arthur Levy, who will be senior portfolio manager of the new funds, with Raj Maheshwari.   The two previously worked together at Robert Fleming, Inc.

Weiss is owned by European investment house Rabobank Group, which currently has $90 billion under management.
