Wells Fargo Launches Heath & Productivity Practice

February 20, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) Wells Fargo Insurance announced a new Health & Productivity National Practice.

Part of the company’s National Employee Benefits Practice, the Health & Productivity group will provide customers access to health and wellness solutions that are aligned with health care reform and changing work force demographics. The company also announced that 28-year industry veteran Ronald Leopold, M.D., has been named head of the new practice. Based in Atlanta, Leopold reports to Todd Renner, head of Wells Fargo’s Employee Benefits National Practice.  

“As we continue to understand the impact of health care reform, this new practice will provide our employee benefits customers with access to health plans that promote better lifestyle choices, increase productivity and, therefore, lower their company’s health care costs,” said Renner.

Most recently, Leopold served as vice president and national medical director at MetLife. Board certified by the American College of Preventive Medicine in Occupational Medicine, he has ten years of experience in active clinical practice.   

He received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business, a Masters in Public Health from Boston University and his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University.   

Wells Fargo’s National Benefits Practice helps customers with financial underwriting and insurance, health and productivity risk management, benefits communication and administration, and compliance with health care reform.
